Terry is a native of Port Byron NY and graduated from Port Byron Central School in 1970. He attended Canton ATC graduating in 1973 with his degree in Mortuary Science. Terry completed a yearlong residency with Donaldson Funeral Home in Massena NY. He became a Licensed Funeral Home Director December 2^nd 1974. He moved to Watertown in 1976 and worked for various funeral homes in the area. Terry and his wife Laurel bought the former Thompson House “now the funeral home” in February 1983. After opening the funeral home he also established a funeral trade business working for various funeral homes in Jefferson and Lewis Counties.

 

He is a former Member and past president of the Clayton Lions Club, a member and past president of the Jeff-Lewis Funeral Directors Association, a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and a member of the sons of the American Legion Colon Couch Post 821 in Clayton NY.

 

Terry and his wife Laurel have two children Eric and Shauna, also four grandsons, Ryan, Daniel, Lucas and Sean.
