LaFargeville;

There will be a graveside committal service for Carol J. Stevens at 11:00 am Tuesday at Grove Cemetery in LaFargeville with Rev Donald Briant pastor of Clayton United Methodist church officiating. Calling hours will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday evening at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.

Carol was born March 21^st 1945 in Watertown the daughter of Sech and Elizabeth Furneff Mather. She graduated from LaFargeville Central School in 1963 and from Watertown Business School. She married Herbert Stevens III May 25^th 1973. Mr. Stevens died Nov. 20 2007 at age 66. She worked for a while at the House of the Good Samaritan in the business office and at United Way for a few years. She enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, motorcycling, camping and being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter and her husband Valerie and Douglas Hasner of Depauville, two sons and a daughter-in-law Martin and Penny Stevens of LaFargeville and Barry Stevens of Oklahoma and eight grandchildren.
