Clayton;
Mrs. Marilyn J. Russell age 82 died Friday evening at Mercy of
Northern NY. There will be no calling hours or funeral. There
will be a spring graveside committal service at St. Lawrence
Cemetery at a time to be announced.
She
was born October 22nd 1928 in Watertown the daughter
of Harold and Marguerite Brown Rivers. She graduated from
Clayton High School and Bellevue School of Nursing in New York
City. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital in
Watertown until her retirement.
She
married Richard Russell April 22nd 1950 in Clayton.
Mr. Russell died in February of 1993.They lived most of their
married life in Three Mile Bay.
Marilyn enjoyed doing handcrafts and sewing.
Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Marcia [Brian]
Phillips of Florida, Deborah {Norman] Hicks of Chaumont and Anne
[Jack] Palmer of Oswego, two sons and one wife Stephen [Denyse]
of Canton and Richard of Cape Vincent, fifteen grandchildren,
twelve great-grandchildren, six sisters Ruth Dunbar Glenfield
NY, Vernice Duford of Clayton, Bessie Bennett of Watertown,
Francis Bennett of Watertown, Anne Patterson of Albany and Terry
Burns of Clayton, two brothers James of Dexter and Robert of
Clayton, nieces, nephews and cousins. Five siblings Pattie,
Harold, William, John, and Thomas predeceased her.
Arrangements are with the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.
