The funeral mass for Mrs.
Margaret “Mitzi” A. Paris will be 10:30 am Monday at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church with Father Richard Kennedy officiating, burial
will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2:00
to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday Dec 27, at the T.R. Jetty
Funeral Home in Clayton.
Mrs Paris died Monday
morning at the Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown.
She was born November 21st,
1934 in Brooklyn NY the daughter of Thomas and Theresa DePalma
LaMagna. She graduated from Brooklyn catholic schools. She
married Patrick A. Paris in Brooklyn in 1951. Mr. Paris died in
2000. She worked in NYC until moving to Clayton in 1981.
She worked from 1981 to 1984 at Natalie’s Motel and worked at
the Golden Anchor from 1984 to 1987. She also worked at the TI
Inn from 1988 to 1994. She was an avid bingo player and
enjoyed scratch off tickets.
She is survived by two sons,
Anthony “Tony” of Clayton and Christopher of Michigan, one
daughter and her husband Nancy and Charles “Skip” Matthews of
Clayton, eight grandchildren, three great grand children nieces,
nephews, one sister Rose Crimi of Plattsburgh NY and one brother
Lenny of Long Island NY. Two sons Patrick III died in1995 and
Thomas died in 2005, two sisters Mary Sullivan and Josephine
Genovese and two brothers Joseph and Thomas died
before her.
