LaFargeville;
The funeral
for Mr. Ronald R. Genier of NYS Rte 180 will be at 11:00 am
Thursday at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton, with Father
Arthur LaBaff officiating. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to
8:00 pm Wednesday “today” at the funeral home. Spring burial
will be in Grove Cemetery in LaFargeville. A reception will
follow the funeral service at St. John’s Church Parish Center in
LaFargeville.
Ron was born
June 14th 1948 in Alexandria Bay the son of Lucian and
Antoinette Sauve Genier. He attended LaFargeville schools and
married the former Karen Snyder August 25th 1984 in Brownville.
In his early years he worked at New York Air Brake in Watertown
and for over twenty years he drove milk trucks for various
companies. At the time of his death he was driving for Ed
Brownell of LaFargeville. He enjoyed sports, including hockey
and Nascar, his dogs and sleeping,
Surviving
besides his wife are two daughters Tracey Goodnough of N.C.
LuAnn and her companion Greg Irvine of Alexandria Bay, three
stepchildren William Anderson of Copenhagen, two stepdaughters
and their husbands Kim and Calvin Berghorn of Copenhagen and
Julie and Peter Orvis of LaFargeville. Seventeen grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren, one brother and his wife Gerald
and Donna of Rochester, two sisters and their husbands Diane
“Roger” Booth of Philadelphia NY and Suzy “William” Scott of
Dexter, one brother-in-law David Lear of Limerick and nieces and
nephews. One sister Geisle Lear died before him.
