Mr. Ronald A. Davidson age 64 of Main St. died Sunday at his residence where he was under the care of his family and the Hospice of Jefferson County. A memorial service will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at the LaFargeville Methodist Church, followed by a reception at the church.

Ron was born July 24^th, 1945 in the Town of LeRay the son of Roy and Lois Thayer Davidson. He attended schools in Alexandria Bay. He married the former Elizabeth Herschler August 26^th 1966 at Fineview Methodist Church with Reverend Beatrice Clark officiating. He was a foremen and machine operator at Crowley Foods retiring April 2006 after 43 years. He was a member of the LaFargeville Fire Department Fire Police. He enjoyed playing chess, fishing, sports and his grandchildren. He was a baseball umpire in LaFargeville for many years.

Surviving is his wife Elizabeth, two sons Ronald Jr. {Alison] of Philadelphia NY, Jeffrey [Renee] of Theresa, two daughters, Dawn [Scott] Farrell of Clayton, Amy of LaFargeville, ten grandchildren, five brothers Roy [Karen] of Redwood, John [Valerie] of Redwood, Glen [Ginny] of NC, Richard [Margaret] of Rossie, Rodney {Carol] of Antwerp, one half brother Horace Davison of Florida, one sister-in-law Joan Davidson of Redwood, nieces and nephews. Two brothers Vincent and Robert Davidson, a sister Ruth Briggs and a half sister Ruth Davidson, died before him.
