Omar:

The funeral for Mr. Gary C. Carlisle age 67 will be at 11:00 am Thursday at the River Community Church Clayton, with the Rev. James Lewis officiating. Burial with military honors provided by Clayton American Legion Colon Couch Post 821 will be in Omar Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton.

Gary was born December 25^th 1942 in Alexandria Bay the son of Raymond and Corrine Pearce Carlisle. He graduated from LaFargeville School in 1960. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1966. He married the former Sharon Jacox in Virginia January 21^st 1977. He owned and operated Stub Carlisle and Son’s Sand and Gravel from 1968 until he retired in 2007. He was a member of the Clayton American Legion Post 821 and Fishers Landing Fire Department. He enjoyed Nascar, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He also enjoyed classic cars and working on his 1958 Chevy Impala convertible.

Surviving is his wife Sharon, two sons James Doney of California and Tim and his wife Karen Doney of Clayton, two daughters Kimberly Barron of California and Leslie and her husband Paul Timerman of LaFargeville, six grandchildren, two sisters and their husbands Trina and David Bogenschutz of Clayton and Mecia and Mike Hudson of LaFargeville, nieces and nephews. One daughter Lori died in infancy in 1970.
