Frederick M. Bedor

Cape Vincent;



Mr. Frederick M. Bedor age 63 of County Rte 4 died Friday at Rome Memorial Hospital. There will be no calling hours or funeral; burial will be in the spring at Grove Cemetery in La Fargeville.



Mr. Bedor was born March 28th 1947th in Watertown the son of J. Allen and Violet Fulkerson Bedor. He graduated from La Fargeville Central School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was a jet engine mechanic, being honorably discharged on September 20th 1967. Mr. Bedor worked construction and for the Town of Cape Vincent Highway Department in various capacities, retiring in 1986 due to disability.



Fred enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Cape Vincent American Legion.



Surviving is Roberta Clark long term care giver of Frederick and four brothers Junior [Dorothy] of Adams, Mervin [Mary Ann] of Florida, Gary of Alabama, Wilbur [Erika] of Florida, four sisters Jean Bedor of Rochester, Audrey [Clyde] Haller of Adams, Carolyn [Allison] Sheldon of Copenhagen, Susan Rudich of DeWitt, nieces and nephews. One brother Willis died in 2007 and one sister Marjorie Bedor died in 1944.



Donations can be made in his name to the Thousands Islands Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Cape Vincent American Legion.
